Hi,I am having a problem with my Zanussi 1225w washing m/c.It will only pump in the water for 3/4 seconds and stop.No error comes up.It only shows when i do a error fault test and error 31 comes up.I have taken out and check control board no flash/soilder joints or diodes gone/pressure valve no fault found.Any idea what error 31 can mean or what else i can check.

E31 is the anologic pressure switch at fault . This machine assuming its the FJS1225W has two pressure switches one is cream coloured and round the other which is the one at fault is black and hidden behind it. If you have blown down this black anologic switch to try and see if it clicks you will of ruined it by doing so.

    Thank you for the reply.
Yes I did blow into the switch to see if the plunger was free moving and it is.with a multimeter on when you suck in it reads 0 and when you blow it reads normal and spring is working and coil is good.does it still mean its gone???

It has no plunger in it so makes no discernable “click” like a normal pressure switch . Check the pressure hose’s arn’t split and then order an anologic pressure switch and that should sort it .

You only need the black anologic pressure switch but if it is the FJS1225w then two different type’s of anologic pressure switch were fitted in production so you will need to get the PNC number from the rating plate inside the door aperture to confirm which one.
