Washing machine Bosch Classixx 1400 Express (WFO2866GB/01) approx 9 years old.
Symptoms: On any cycle the drum is not spinning properly at speed and only turns once every 30 seconds. Water appears to be coming in to the machine correctly and the drain function is also working.
Actions taken so far:
1. Checked for any blockages in drain filter and pipework
2. Replaced drain pump
3. Replaced carbon brushesAny other inexpensive options before we have to replace the machine?

Strip and clean the motor thoroughly to ensure no carbon deposits causing earth leakage. The slightest leak to earth and it won’t spin but only attempt to ramp up to spin a few times before defaulting to the last minute drain process.
If the motor checks out OK then likely as not the ‘fuzzy logic’ circuit has failed within the control unit. 🙁

Thank you for your reply Martin.
I’m not sure I’ll get permission from the wife to take the machine apart again for only a possible solution. Apparently I’ve just been delaying the inevitable of buying a new machine 🙁
