I got a call to repair this machine which the customer said wasn’t heating on drying cycle. On testing on 1 hour setting it ran as normal (pumped then fan motor, flush valve on). After a few minutes fan motor stopped when pump came on for about a minute, then pump stopped and fan motor and heater came on but no valve. After further 5 minutes approx. both stopped and pump came on. When pump ceased machine stopped with display saying 53 minutes.Switched off and reset, exactly the same thing occurred. All components (motor, heaters and ntc’s) megger ok and there doesn’t appear to be any blockages. Can anyone offer any clues please.

Odd faults like this often turn out to be the valve coil. Change the valve and chances are it will cure it.

    “NTC’s Megger OK”……..:hmm:

I’m thinking there’s a blockage at the bottom of the condenser where it’s connected to the tub .

Thanks guys for your advice. Paul got it!. Although there didn’t seem to be a blockage, on removing the condenser unit and flushing it through, out came about 4 handsful of fluff. Once cleaned, all OK.

The fault occurs due to overheating detected by the dryer ntc . Off the top of my head i can’t remember the exact fault code that shows when you get into the test program (may be F08 ?) but it relates to Ntc / harness fault and is a bit of a red herring in some ways.
