Mistral Plus temp light-solved one problem, now have another

I have a Hotpoint Mistral Plus fridge freezer. One day the high temp light came on and stayed on….we then realised the fridge compartment was warm, but the freezer was still frozen. I ordered an evaporator thermistor and a freezer thermistor, which arrived and I managed to fit. On switching the machine back on again, it started up fine, and the high temp light started flashing on and off, a problem I think is ssociated with the freezer temperature. Not a problem, obviously the freezer is not going to be the right temp as it has been switched off for a few hours. On the plus side, the fridge started to cool down and feels fine 😀 . On leaving the light flashing overnight and expecting it to be off this morning, it is not. It is still flashing. BUT the freezer is freezing, (put ice cube tray in and water has frozen), it is making the normal noises, but just the damn light is flashing!! Oh, and the fast freeze button next to the flashing light is not working either. Now is this just a minor problem does anyone know? Should I switch it off, leave it a while, and switch back on again?
