My Fridge Freezer is nearly exactly 2 years old and recently ice has started to form in the bottom. It seems to be coming out of the back somewhere. We unscrewed the panel inside but couldn’t lever it off so not sure what to do without paying a huge call out fee to an engineer. We’re not stupid and quite hands on so if it’s something we can do ourselves then we’re up for it. Any ideas would be welcome please.

    Hi

It may be that the freezer door has been left open for a sustained period allowing warm air to be sucked in.

You will need to empty appliance, pull the plug and with some towels on the floor of freezer leave the doors open for three days to allow it to defrost. Placing a bowl of hot water in the freezer will speed up the process.

If the problem persists then it will be time for an engineers visit.

    HTH 🙂
