The machine fills for about a minute or so ok then the water in the float section seems to rise and fall (surging) causing the drain pump to cut in and out while it is still filling.
I have removed the float section and in the hose leading into the sump and cleaned it all
The pressure switch does not activate the micro switch so the wash motor does not start, I did blow up the pressure switch while it was of and all appeared to work ok.
Could it be the pressure switch and possible over filling, Or should I be looking somewhere else?
Thanks

The circulating pump not starting is the issue here. Is it seized or what? π

If I push the micro switch that the pressure switch works the circulating pump works. Itβs just that the pressure switch does not activate the micro switch although it appears to have enough water in the machine.
Thanks for the reply

Then replace replace the Pressure Switch Unit as the bellows apparently don’t work? As a rule during the fill period (around 30-45 seconds) the bellows within the pressure vessel should open and turn off the (F1) micro switch. If that isn’t happening then you need to replace the unit.

Just been back to this machine and did a diagnostic reset (holding normal and eco buttons while switching on).
I think it was a problem with the diverter valve and this corrected it well anyway it works now.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions

The programme reset facility simply does just that, clear the programme in progress and resets to off (after a 60secs drain)

Resetting the programme has no effect on the diverter valve whatsoever and I’m pleased to know it is now working again. If there was a problem with the diverter and/or that was causing the problem then be prepared for a possible recall. Checking and testing the diverter is a simple task anyway should the need arise sometime into the future. π

Thanks for the reply Martin, could you let me know how to check and test the diverter, just encase I do get a recall.
I do wonder what was causing the float to rise and fall (surging) causing the drain pump to cut in and out while it is still filling, but is is not doing since I did diagnostic reset.

Throughout the normal wash cycle the diverter opens and closes the top and bottom spray arm alternately every 55 seconds (5 sec pause as the valve rotates from one to the other). So by simply observing the action of the spray arms during the wash you will notice the position of each spray arm ( by opening the door as it’s working) to establish which is operating. As an alternative, just listen to the slushing noises going on inside whilst checking the second hand of your watch to check that every 60secs the diverter is switching between the two over and over again.
Also, by removing the top spay arm tube (2 Torx20 screws) and looking into the heater box you can see the white plastic cam device. Just open and close the door every once in a while and you can note whether or not that cam is rotating?

If the diverter is stuck between the top and bottom spray arms then the backflow of water can give this effect.
