    Why did someone decide to change the position of the connectors on ceramic rings several years ago? I mean what was the point and did they not realise the hassel it causes when replacing a ring? A simple wiring change, true but thats fine if the wires are long enough to reach the new positions and now the tags all face the glass meaning side entry spade connectors need fitting if you cannot bend the terminal up enough to clear the glass. 😡


    dont get me started on energy regulators either…..

    Is that the EEC standard brought in just to wind up appliance engineers then?

    Thing is, fitted one yesterday to a hob that was still under 12 months warranty and expected a straight swop but even that had older connections on and was an absolute nightmare to fit…

    Not that I care but, does make you wonder how diy’ers (and probably some engineers no doubt) get on given that there is no indication (mod sheet) that the connectors have changed.
