Hi, I have a washing machine that is no longer in garanty with all three drum paddle lifters that have broken three times in a row in less than a month !

    My washing machine is an
    INDESIT WIL 126
    46365950075
    S/N 007214083

So the first time they broke, a few weeks ago, i think because we put in a to heavy load (wet clothes), then i bought three new ones and installed them my self….but they too broke of after a few washes, i thought i had done another bad wash, and bought new ones again, but only to discover that they too broke on the first wash !

So after some research on this site i’ve found that there exist a fitting tool for indesit drum paddles ! And i want to know if i need to use it to fit the drum paddles for my washing machine, or if i should just call the assistance ?

I should mention that during this last wash when they broke again i heard strange sounds, just as if there are objects inside (or on the outside) of the drum….maybe the small parts of the drum paddle that have broken off, but it also sounded like a bigger foreign object…..and i couldnt’ find anything when i emptied the machine… ? Can i somehow remove these objects from outside the drum my self ?

I have a serial number from the packaging of the drum paddle 065463, but i couldn’t find a corrispondance from this site. (i live in italy, and have bought the washing machine and spare parts here). Is this a correct serial number that i can use to order from this site ?

In all likely hood you have a foreign object in the drum. Bra wire or coins are most likely. These will breaks the feet of the lifters causing them to some off.

As for re fitting new ones. You don’t need a special tool. There is a metal talb in the drum that is under the lifters towArds the front of each one that holds them in place. This need I be bent upwards at an angle so its like a ramp so that that when you slide the lifter towards the rear of the tank it catches behind the plastic in side it.

    Thank you for replying,

..yes i did bend the metal talbs upward before installing the drum paddles….i saw a video on youtube about that 🙂
..but i’m not sure i bent them correctly…i just bent them upwards in a 90 degree angle….how do you mean that they should be bent like a ramp ?

Is there any way i can remove foreign objects my self from the space outside the drum ??
