Kenwood Gas Hob

I recently purchased a brand new gas hob (has an electric ignition for burners).

A CORGI registered bloke fitted the hob with ease. Trouble is that when the hob is plugged in it constantly click click click’s (it should only be doing this when you hold a knob down) but it clicks even if you don’t touch a knob.

So we have unplugged it from the mains & are currently manually lighting it until it is fixed. I’ve made sure that none of the knobs are stuck or anything so I’m puzzled. You can physically see all four rings sparking all making the same irritating clicking noise ?

Obviously I’ll be claiming under the warranty but I just want to know what the problem could be ?
