ParticipantHi
Just did a second visit on one of these. First visit; put it in test mode all parts worked but wouldn’t go into a program past filling when set. Ordered pcb as all other parts worked on test.I went with the pcb this evening and still the same fault, I tried changing the small dial on the pcb, brushes but still no change.
Does anyone know if I’ve missed something as I can’t seem to find the problem….
Thanks
Dave

That’s what HE wants to know.
He did say the symptoms were that it does’nt go into the programme past filling.

Hi
Yep….fills and does nothing. Have always gone to check the motor brushes when this happens on these and not bother with test mode. But in this case the motor seems good.
thanks

Motor connector plug can often be a problem when the wires to it break. Also check motor continuity right back to the module connection.

Thanks Martin… To be honest I havent done an insulation test on the motor as i saw it running on test mode and the brushes looked evenly worn. Think it may be the pressure switch/system as it fills a lttle every couple of mins after initial fill. In any case, it’s got one more chance on monday as I havent got the time or patience for it at the moment.
Thanks for your time

I would normally go for Motor Brushes, Heater, Pressure switch, Board, in that order, but i think on this model the heater comes in at a later stage. Nevertheless, have you meggered the heater for earth leakage? otherwise i’d be looking at the pressure switch, or as Martin has said, continuity problems with the motor cable.

Hi
After it carrying out every function on test mode, I thought it had to be the pcb. Second visit, after PCB change not going to plan I tested the heater, motor and thought I’d checked the pressure switch. Went armed with a pressure switch this morning and it now works. Can’t identify a problem with the old one but will have another look at it tonight. The machine works now which I guess is the main thing.
Thanks for all the input…
