ParticipantGot this dishwasher with a melted terminal wire in the mains terminal block, and ropey looking noise suppressor.
(Dishwasher fault fill/drains only, no start action, no proper error code)
My first port of call was sort the obvious out except both mains lead and suppressor out of stock at connect and s/o @ qtx.
Can sort the terminal box wiring issue out by nicking the placky box off the flood device and sheathing the f/c/d terminals separately on that one, but stuck with the suppressor issue (#813410094)
cust wants a yay/nay answer by tuesday, so she can order a new dishwasher for xmas if this isnt the only fault, so cant get any orderable spares in fast enough anyway, however i do have a suspiciously similar looking indesit mains suppressor – c00026359 in my cap tray, and wanted everyones opinion as to whether its suitable (visually identical, very slight tech spec difference)
indesit version is a procond ectronica (diplo was a DEM)
411.13.2612
this is also a 0.1uf (x2), + 2.20MOhm (same)
2x 0.025uf Y2
250V Hpf 25/085/21c
EN 60384 – 14Will it be adequate, even for just test purposes?

I’ve changed quite a few of these for the Friborg Creda / Hotpoint suppressor with no issues. £5 + VAT on Connect; stock.

to tell the truth I would just bodge the wiring together first without a suppressor and check its not something more serious. sounds like a circ pump issue.

I too would have done what Mark said, there and then. I think it’s quite likely that that’s the only fault and not enough juice was getting past to allow the thing to operate. Maybe you’ve got it as a re-con by now?
I sometimes leave them by-passed while I order a spare, washer or dw. Check with a nearby transistor radio usually shows no interference anyway.
