My mate rang me over the holidays, he’s a spark & his d’washer had packed in, asked my advice on his dead Smeg d’washer, he’s done some checks on it, power going to it, leds indicate programme selected but when door closed no action, i asked him to check components, pump, solenoid door sw’ float sw’ etc, all seem to be in order, he’s asked me now to come & look at it for him, just wondering if anyone has come across this model with brain dead symtons?

If it’s totally dead and the power is all OK it can only be the PCB by the sounds of it.

You should be able to check that 240v is getting to it easily enough, best look there first by the sound of it.

When u check pcb look for burn outs on edge connectors, as they have a tendancy to frazzle.

Just to update you all, the pcb was frazzled, quoted customer for replacement & she declined, she’s getting a new one in sales £299 for a Hpt’ fully integrated BFI620, delivered & installed & old one uplifted!
    Can’t beat that!
