    Hi Guys

    Hopefully can get some help here.

    For the last day my Hotpoint Mistral Fridgefreezer is flashing up E8 on the temperature LCD guage?

    I have removed the freezer panel and it is free of any ice build up and TBH everything looks fine.
    I left it on through the night and checked the temperature this morning and freezer was -22C and fridge was +3C, so the temperature is not affected but its still flashing E8?

    When i turn it off at mains and leave it a minute then turn back on, the E8 disappears and the temperature returns for a few minutes, then a sort of shutting off sound, then a start up sound then back the E8 again!

    If the temperature is not affected i dont think its the thermister, but it could be faulty?

    Or a faulty board? but everything is working fine so not too sure!

    Any help or ideas would be much appreciated guys.
    Just abit worried incase its working overtime, overheats and catches fire.

    Sounds like a dodgy thermistor TBH.

    Thinking the same Kwatt, seems to be a common problem in the Hotpoint Mistral Fridgefreezers.

    I’ll order a thermistor see if that solves the problem.
