washer drum only turning one way.

I have a hygena integrated washer dryer APM8721 1999, recently the drum will only turn one way during a programme (clockwise) it does try to turn the other way but its a if it hasnt quite got the power to turn the drum and stops, it runs through the whole program ok but only turns one way, this means it wont spin or dry the wash as these are counter clockwise, it will turn both ways when there is no washing in it and run a program , but even if you only put one large towel in it, it wont turn both ways, clockwise it is very powerful but anti clockwise it is very weak,I have checked the control module and there was a black solder joint which i re soldered, this was on what looks like a blue relay with FY written on it, the motor seems to get very hot when its running, the control module does seem to click a bit when its running which im sure it didnt do before, i was wondering whether it is likely to be the control module or the motor, any help would be appreciated, thanks.
