hi, have a tecnik dw2677/2 which has started to trip the mains when into a cycle. checked out the motor area and the connector to the element is burnt, as is a small length of the cable. Is this a faulty element, or something more? any help appreciated.

    john.

This will indeed cause the electrics to trip. However, a fair degree of electrical knowledge is required in testing the element to ensure once the “cable” (we call it flex in the trade) has been replaced, the element is safe to continue using?
