Got a Siemens Machine (WH54880GB/01) today with a burnt out motor (Part No: 141875). Common to most Bosch Maxx/Exxell series I guess but I have never had one burn out before, its usually just worn out carbons every time in my experience.

The point is having quoted over £200 to return and fit a new one, I hope it hasn’t bu@@ered up the Module, ‘cos I will only then find out if it has when I plug the new motor in! No way will the customer fork out for a Module as well and I then am stuck with a motor I cannot return for credit. 🙁

I’m assuming that as the machine is on the go several times a day, then a cooked motor is not a surprise. But I cannot afford to take the risk by buying a new motor simply on my assumptions.

Has anybody had such a case I wonder ❓

    Hi Martin

Yes….I’ve had two where a segment has lifted out of the armature and in both cases the module survived 🙂

I’ll keep me fingers crossed for you anyway!
