I have a smeg washing machine that has always had a problem but engineer could not find it! When the washer begins its spin cycle, with a full load of washing, water spews out of the powder drawer. It doesn’t happen every time but only when I have a heavy load, not overloading but anything like 2 towels.

I would perhaps understand if I overloaded the machine but I don’t! It is like there should be a reflux something or other to stop water coming back up the drawer tube?

    Any advice?

Clean the filter as the water is not draining away fast enough from the drum as it spins and it has then nowhere else to go except out of the soap drawer. If the filter is clear then look toward the drain hose or drain hose coupling being restricted/gunged up somewhere along the line!
