Hi i have a Zanussi ZX99/5S1 that does nothing when plugged in. i have got the pcb out and seem to have 240 v going in but nothing coming out to the compressor . ( see photo in link)
does this mean the board is dead ?
    thanks

Possibly but that would depend on what is coming out the board and, if there’s no power out of it then the likelihood is that the board or one of the relays on it is fried.

Hi and thanks for the reply ,
the relays are the 2 grey boxes next to the a/c in ?
I may try to test the board as a new board is £100 !! i dont want to spend that if there is something else wrong ..

No idea what the relays are on that board but it’s a fair bet that they will be the relays.

What I would usually do is test what’s not working to see if it’s broken.

Those two grey boxes are capacitors not relays.. It is unlikely that they would go altogether causing no power at all to the other terminals.

You really ought not to be messing about with the board unless you know what you are doing.. :zap:

There are triacs and diodes and at least one fuse that I can see on that board that could cause your power failure and that is to say if it isn’t the power section itself.
