ParticipantHi
I read the other other post on Indesit error codes F -05 & 11, and I had F05 on mine. The wash would stop and not spin/pump out the water. I took the washer apart, pulled the pump, checked all the hoses – and found all hoses free and clear, pump tested fine, and was not clogged.
The spin cycle worked fine with the F-05error code, now after putting it all back together (no pieces left over;-) the spin doesn’t work and I get F-11.
Any suggestions?
I feel like dumping it as I bought it a year ago for £89 and now I find the pump is £30 – do you think it’s worth repairing?
Cheers

Jerry I think you have answered you own question here 8)
However F11 points nevertheless to a PUMP PROBLEM, I will leave you to do the maths on this 😉

Hi Martin
Thanks for validating what I felt. It seems such a shame the way things have become so “disposable” 🙁
Any ideas what to do with it – other than the dump or a flower box?
Cheers

Don’t tempt me into answering that Jerry 😆
It could make a good ‘Water Feature?’, give Charlie Dimmock a bell 😀

Hi Martin
Well the repairman just left. He was here for 1. 5 hours, ran his test on the WM, and found a button inside the waste pipe leading to the sink drain.
Now I have to tell you that I took all those hoses apart, ran water through them and never found any kind of blockage at all. I was going to run a wire coat hanger through, but having punctured other hoses in the past, decided against it.
Pat, the owner/repairperson said it was very common for buttons, and especially 5ps to keep stuck in the waste pipe and act like a valve, opening and closing thus causing the error messages.
I was pleaseantly surprised when he said he could come out the same day, or the next at my convience. He arrived within the 2 hour slot he gave me. He quoted me over the phone £35 for the pump, labor, call out etc one price inclusive. The only extra would be if the proramme board was bad then it wuld be £65 inclusive.
My final charge came to £25 😀
If you live in the Thanet/Whitstable area call Pat at 0800 804 6441 (he even has a an 800 number) Annis Domestics. http://www.annis-domestics.co.uk/ tell him Jerry Wennerstrom sent you (no I don’t get paid, nor am I related to him – I think good honest repair people need to be rewarded with good word-of-mouth adverts).
Cheers

ParticipantWell all I can say is. “We are family…”
Seriously, it’s always nice to find people that are trustworthy and deal fairly in business, and are willing to give back to their community.
I do workshops/seminars for Thanet Business Centre (Business Link Kent) teaching “Communication and Negotiation Skills”, as well as being the Director/co-owner of Ad Copy Solutions Ltd “Seductive Marketing” teaching businesses how to be successful (and get rich). I will be telling everyone about Pat and UK Whitegoods Forum. You’ll be mentioned along with Virgin, Saga, Tescos, Asda as businesses that know how to treat a client well.
Cheers
