Been to one of these today, leaking. It’s the one on four struts with the screw on backplate to the drum. Traced leak to side vent on soapbox. Customer said “They were out three times to that when it was new”.

Closer inspection revealed that the i/g repair was to use a silicoln mastic to seal the vent to the side of the machine to make a watertight trough. 😯 Three years of bouncing round the kitchen later, this “seal” gave way and water was running down the side, inside, again.

This wasn’t really an approved repair was it? No modified soapbox available?

    Somewhat puzzled,
    Chris.

    High water pressure area perchance?

Water over the side, LHS from front, where the “overflow is”?

Then the cure is to turn down the water a bit until it doesn’t fill so fast. Another shining example of Antonio Merloni engineering at its finest. 😕

    No really, that’s the cure!
