Hi, I have a servis M7055-6W which has been frosting up in the freezer due to a torn gasket (or is it a seal). The problem is that I cannot see any screws when I look under the current gasket. Can anyone please advise me on how to replace the current gasket? I am new and have found a couple of sellers with an apt part (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140816598956? … 1423.l2649 or http://www.apart4u.co.uk/parts/ap4u-652 … -seal.html). The id of servis is 20000511980 038203004 03. Thanks

Just found this page on a similar model and issue (http://www.justanswer.com/uk-appliance/ … 55-6s.html). This alludes to a chance of it being glued and can simply be pulled off and replaced by pressing a new one into it. I’m not convinced as it seems to be partly behind the plastic panel on the freezer door. Any advice on how to replace it would be appreciated.

I have the same problem with my Servis M7262. I have bought a replacement gasket and have watched the videos and read the instructions on wiki-how. But when I try to get the seal off, it seems to be glued to the door. Can you advise?

The seal is part of the door and a new door is required.
If you have a seal to fit then you have to pull the old one off carefully as it clips under the door liner.
Then you have to push the rear of the new seal under the liner but in most case’s the liner becomes loose and will not hold the seal on.
A new door is the only way for a good repair.
Even with a new door.
You then have to warm up the new seal on the new door with a steamer or hair dryer to get a seal on the door, as the seals are normally crushed flat and will not seal against the cabinet.
