Hotpoint TCD970 – Blocked Condensor Error

Hi All

This machine is cutting short sensor dry programs and giving a “Blocked Condenser” Error.

I have already checked the condenser, filter and airway through the heating element and all appear clear, I have also checked the water hole to the pump chamber and the pump itself which all works. The heating element is fine and both of the bimetallic stats are fine.

Both the NTC’s when measured from the board end of their wiring looms measure at about 800K Ohms at room temperature, after about 10 minutes on timed dry the heater NTC has dropped to 30K ohms and the front duct NTC to 140K ohms.

On sensor dry even with wet washing in the machine the sequence of events is: 4 minutes cold, reverse tumble, 4 minutes hot, reverse tumble, stutter twice, cool down tumble, error.

Does anyone have any clue on this one (I suspect board or NTC but don’t know which) or does anyone have the service information that they could send me please.
