Diplomat APL1208 Regulator Parts

Hi there,

I need to find and replace one of the regulators on my hob – some info:

Make: Diplomat

Model: APL1208

Problem: There are 4 elements, and one is faulty. The one that is faulty is a dual element – by this I mean that by rotating the control knob for the element, which has some form of spring in it, the inner or both inner / outer elements will swicth on.

Part: I have done some web searches and believe the part number that needs replacing is either: EGO 50.55024.100 OR EGO 50.57024.010.

My query is: There are two types of regulators on the hob, 3 of these control single element plates, and the knob is able to rotate fully clockwise or anti-clockwise, whilst the other knob (which is the one I believe is faulty) has a spring / limiting mechanism inside such that it can only be rotated clockwise and then the spring kicks in. The item info I have found for the part numbers don’t actually tell me which part is which…… but given that one is 20quid more expensive than the other I’m guessing that is the one I need!
