I know and have removed the plastic blue lifters on the older Hotpoint washer drums in the past plenty of times bending the tag whilst pulling the paddle towards yourself but these new Hotpoint drums seem to have different paddles now on the 8kg/9kg drums they have 12 holes in them and they are evenly spaced holes this time and they dont span to the full edge of the front of the drum now (presumably to allow to make the drum into 8/9kg?) so how do you remove these ones now? – Not that I need to remove them yet but if the day ever comes I need to remove them to replace one (or retrieve some coins from them!) I am going be stuck cause I havent got a foggiest how these ones come off and I dont want to break anything trying!

Could you confine questions about your brand new Hotpoint to just ONE thread?

List ALL the questions together from Drum Paddles to Fabric Conditioner, programme sequence to noise levels and on and on. We will do our best to answer….there must be loads more….GO FOR IT,

sure could do but anyway that was my last question about my washing machine I think, cant think of any other questions. and there you go theres me thinking that it would be less confusing if I split it up rather than lump it all into one thread! 😆

You won’t ever need to remove the paddles on your new machine. Because you will turn pockets inside out before loading, ties laces on trainers, do up zips and button hole studs on jeans. Small socks and hankies in a wash bag and never wash rubber backed bath mats or filthy dog blankets………..

Then if the drum on this is like all the Indesit drums of the last few years then the holes under the lifters are not big enough to get anything other than the odd bra wire out if you are very lucky, no chance with coins.

right thanks, and as for replacing lifters if they break are they held in by tabs as in earlier lifters or are they screwed riveted onto the drums in these latest Indesit/hotpoints can you tell me please?
