The door seems closed but then it throws an error code E40. I have to switch off and then open and reclose door or just press it in really hard a couple of times. The machine is working fine once it is convinced that the door is really closed. So far no problems opening the door.
I have read it could be the door catch on the actual door or the lock on the casing. Is there anyway to tell which?
I checked that the child lock wasn’t interfering in any way and that is not the problem.
Many thanks to anyone who can answer this problem.
Ok. Is that the bit that connects to the electronics inside the casing, so it’s an electronic problem? I must admit I thought it was more of a mechanical problem because of how applying pressure when closing the door means it closes ok, and it’s been very gradually getting worse as you’d expect with a wear problem.
