Hi, i have a Bosch dishwasher SMS05E06GB. I tipped the mc backwards to look for something i dropped on floor and since then the mc does not work.There are no leds coming on at all and there is an electronic type clicking noise coming from rhs of mc. I have checked fuses etc but am totaly stuck as what to do.Any help greatly appreciated.

The bad news is……The main circuit/programmer board lies on the rear left hand side. If there was any latent water in the solid base tray it could have easily git onto the PCB and (in effect) bu&&ered it up.:(
The good news is….unplug the mains lead connector from the back of the machine, then, with the power off, plug it back in and turn the power back on. As it could just be that the plug into the main circuit board isn’t fully pushed home?

Hi Martin, i have tried the lead connector and no luck. The main electric board is at the back of the rhs at the bottom (looking at mc).This is the area where the clicking is coming from.

Indeed so, and as I said previously, it may have got water damage or some such when you tipped it backwards. So perhaps unplug the mains, lift the board out and take a look at it. Though if it is still within the 2 year guarantee period then don’t touch it at all but call Bosch in to fix it.

Hi, i have done as suggested. All seems fine to me. Machine is 4 years old and out of guarantee.

Are there any water marks on the plastic base in or near the PCB. Any signs of a leak anywhere in the base at all? Have you checked that the 13amp plug and wall socket are connected and that the wall socket works? (try plugging something else into the socket to see like a hair dryer etc).
If all of the above checks out 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} then my conclusion can only be a faulty PCB or the connector blocks to it have bad contacts. Beyond that I suggest calling out Bosch to take it further.

Hi, i have checked all you have said but no luck to any of it all. Plug,socket all ok, and no signs of water. I did ring Bosch and the person who answered said that as i tipped it up i must have caused the “float” to raise and stick to the top. I think she meant the overflow system to stop leaks,so i turned mc over and checked it all out. All seems OK. I suppose i will have to get an engineer out now unless anyone has any more ideas. I can take most things to bits and replace but am not electrically savvy and have no test equipment.
