    A member of the public has posted a link got direct from a ‘trade only’ website here on UKW….is that allowed and will it implicate UKW Ltd for publishing restricted/copywrite info?

    I guess it doesn’t matter then and OK to publish manufacturers service manuals?

    If Electrolux see fit leave that sort of information open to the public… not my problem.

    The info is not hosted on UKW, not a UKW trade member so, none of my business.

    If you are not happy about it I would suggest a letter of complaint to Electrolux plc.

    I don’t give a monkey’s truth be known. I was merely pointing out the fact that a member of the public posted a document that is ONLY accessible and available to registered Lux account holders. And if that information is Lux copywrite UKW should watch their backside lest they get their ar&e kicked under “breach of copy write”.

    But if that is not the case them I thrilled beyond ecstatic. Long live UKW! 😀

    There’s tons of that stuff in the public domain Martin and, so long as it’s not published on our servers then Lux (or whoever) can go after whoever they like. 😉

    I’m struggling to understand that, it’s actually on UKW but not “hosted?” So it’s on there but not on there?….confused? …I am.

    Perhaps you could please explain what hosted means?

    I think Ken means the poster has not copied the document, merely provided a link to the document already published on Electrolux’s website.

    A Google search for “electrolux-ti” will reveal dozens of documents which Electrolux has (perhaps unknowingly) made accessible to all.

    Correct, the document is not on a UKW server.
