american style side by side.serial number 1010027401.
I found evaporator fan,220v, open circuited and it smelt burnt out. there is no voltage at the fan socket so suspect that the fan has damaged the control pcb mounted in the door.the compressor is running fine. can anyone confirm that fan runs when compressor is running as there is no visible fan klixon.
Anyone had this problem before and who best to obtain spare from?

It won’t run with door open.

I mean if you are testing it for a supply with the door open you won’t get a supply at the fan connections with the door open.

thanks for that. I know that on the maytag/ amana there is a klixon which only turns the fan on when the evap reaches -20. This beko didn’t have one so i guessed about the door being shut. Thanks again.

it only required the fan. It took about 20 min before the sensor signaled the pcb to start it up.
