ParticipantHi,
Above machine, washes OK but when it gets to Tumble Dry the drum rotates but nothing else appears to work. The dryer elements, stats and fan motor all have a live feed but are missing the neutral.
Does anyone know if the neutral is supplied via the control board and is this a known fault with these machines.
Thanks for your help…………

ParticipantI’ve had this with pressure switch problems – machine thinks its still got water in and won’t activate dryer circuits.

Thanks for the prompt response,
I did consider this but I thought it would have prevented filling when on the wash and prevent the machine from spining!

Hi,
Looking at the diagram the neutrals for the dry heaters, fan, condensing inlet valve and drain pump are all supplied via triacs or relays on the pcbs, so something’s telling the machine not to dry. Both the live and neutral to the dry heaters are also via the mechanical pressure switch, switches 11-12 and 21-22 closed [ie empty]. I’m new to these machines [see my recent query about one] and can’t help you any further at present but am continuing to look into them. You could really do with the TDS offline DVD which tells you how to go into the test prog and gives you the error codes and what to look for with each code [& muchmore] but it’s not solved my problem yet. Will report further if I come up with anything else.

Hi,
On Wednesday I’m hoping to aquire from a friend a pcb for these machine with a ‘not draining’ fault. I’m going to substitute it for the board in the machine I’ve got with a ‘no fill’ fault to test my board. if you’re still stumped then you’re welcome to borrow this spare board to see if it helps with your diagnosis.

Thanks for the advice, I should be getting a copy of the wiring diagram later today.
Martin, your suggestion of the duff valve looks positive I think I’ll check that first.
Geoff If all else fails I might take up the offer of the PCB.
I’ll post how I get on,
Keith.

Martin,
Spot on, what a star.
You’ve just save me a lot of time. Even with the wiring diagram I wouldn’t have found that without a lot of agro if at all.
Many thanks,
Keith.
