ParticipantHi All
An Odd one this – the problem with this machine is that it will not respond to any control button press (power, spin speed, temperature etc), it will respond to the selector knob being turned and the display appears to work perfectly, it will also happily perform an auto test program when the hardware key is plugged into the back. I have already sent both boards to EMW and both came back as having been repaired (they are both currently going off again for a recheck), I have checked the loom between the boards, motor, motor brushes, heater, valves and door lock and tested the machines insulation (8.9M Ohm – Mainly brushes) but can find no fault – does anyone have any idea what else could be causing this fault please.
Thank you
Jem

8.9mohms? That’s too low for my liking. I would not be happy with that readings.
Worth changing the brushes and clean out motor. See if this helps?

Well just to finish this one off.
Both boards came back from EMW as no fault found, however when I changed the top board for a second hand one that I had in stock the machine started to work again.

Oh come on they are not that bad lol, the way people talk on here is they blow every week.
Led cards don’t often fail in my experience , Iv often found water damage on the ones that do go, machines often installed under sink or below the kettle/tea making location and spillage on top of the machine.
Generally if the machines are installed in a dry warm location the electronics is fine. HOWEVER the Indesit stuff has 0 protection against moisture, any hint of it and the boards will blow.
