ParticipantHi
I have just moved and once the machine has been plumbed back in, it will not now perform the spin cycle or pump out.
I have checked the hose and pump filter for any blockages, but there seem to be none.
The drain hose outlet is the required distance above the pump and the hose is not bent or twisted.
I noticed a loose red wire that looks like it could be coming from the pump – could this be the problem – perhaps it came loose during the move?
If so, where does it attach to?
All help much appreciated.

Is the pipe connection under the sink clear?

Yes it is – took the u-bend off and could pass a pen through the tube without a problem…pump doesn’t even try to kick in, just silence.

Just two wires go to the pump both have the same colour I believe. So yes, chances are that stray wire goes to the pump and has come off its crimped connector.

Hi Martin
You don’t happen to have a wiring diagram do you – the loose wire seems to be coming from the pump, not going to it! (ie one end of the wire is wired into the pump, the other end is free)
Thx

Trace the wire that is still connected. It will lead you to where the loose wire should be connected as they both go to the same component.
It sounds like the wire has broken and will need repair or replacement.
Forum rules prohibit the posting of wiring diagrams.Sorry.
Don’t forget keep machine unplugged when working on it.

it needs to have a few litres of water inside it so the pressure switch can register. if theres no water inside it will not empty out. This can happen if the machine has been tilted back and the filter checked.

Thanks Steve – I reattached the wire (with the power switched off!) but no response from the pump.
Also this afternoon, took off the sump hose and drain hose, unbelievably finding no foreign objects in either, and re-checked the filter – no debris anywhere in the system. Plus when I manually drain the machine it has no problem ejecting water all over the floor via the hose! So I simply don’t believe it can be blocked.
Washtronics, hmm not sure if I ran the full 15 minute cycle or just started a program, paused and then asked it to pump out.
BTW Anyone know where the pressure switch is and how you reset it?
At one point this afternoon the error message changed to F11, but now it’s back at F5 – no idea why.
