    dont know about anyone else but this last couple of months has seen a real slow down. its all how much,..I’ll get back to you,…dont you do free calls? etc etc
    I’m well down on this time last year

    If large companies with sales and marketing professionals are struggling, which they are, and of course big companies going down, 10’200 job losses just this last week its no wonder things filter through into our trade.

    The last thing this trade needs is engineers starting to undercut and do free call outs.

    dont worry I dont intend to “under cut” or do free call out.
    the man who works for nothing is busy all day every day.

    I have been lucky and been busy the last few months.

    It has slowed down a bit this week but still busy for this time of year.

    I do not do free call outs and never will as the cost of fuel etc has to be paid somehow.

    I charge £60 plus vat for a call out but this has stayed the same for the last 6 years.

    The trouble is I cannot increase the call out in the present conditions.

    But this is still a lot cheaper than the big boys.

    I have found the free advertising on the net has made a big difference
