about june 2011 i had the error code al10 come up on my hotpoint sdw80 dishwasher with advice from here i replaced the heating element and it worked today the code has come up again is there a good bet its gone againthanks

The only way to find out is to test the element with suitable test equipment. The main pcb is just as likely to cause this fault so if the element is OK then it’s 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain the module has failed. 🙁

ok do you test the 2 prongs to get a reading or do you have to use earth if its the 2 prongs i have a reading that was done on 2 setting 0.28 ohms

You test between the two teminals that the wiring harness plugs into, resistance should be 26.5?.
Not sure what you mean by ‘2 setting’. ❓

i cant put a photo on here yhe multimeter is a rapitest and starts 2 v k ohms sign then 20 v k ohms sign then
200 v k ohms m a then 500v 2000 k ohms the button at the top is set to ohms and the dial is on 2 any other settings i dont get any readingJanuary 21, 2013 at 5:47 pm #388240iadom

Looks like the heater may have died again, set your meter to 500v and you should get a reading of 26.5 ohms.

i have fitted the part but after a few min working the electrics tripped out im hoping it was a bit of excess water so im going to leave it a few days

right i left the dishwasher off for a few days as i thought athere was a bit of excess water that tripped the electrics
when turning the electric back on everything tripped out again can i have put any wires back wrong im thinking thr connector at the very bottom plate is round the wrong way

Hard to know what if any problems you may have caused with your previous repairs TBH..
A05 is supposed to be blocked filters, pressure switch faults or main circulation pump faulty.Merged your posts as well, best to kep it all in one place for continuity. 😉

i have checked for any blockage and found none put into a 1.33 cycle and the fault codes have come up again im now going to give up the ghost now on this
does anyone know where i can get a decent slimline washer for under £300
