well i took the glass panel in my oven door off to clean it and cannot get it back on again! despite several hours today screwing the screws in in various directions im totally puzzled as to how they wont screw back in 😯

there are two screws either side and the whole front of the cooker is now all over my kitchen floor.they are to be screwed in with a flathead screwdriver and the screw fits into a seperate metal round thing (not a bolt but i dunno what its called) but the round thing kinda holds the glass in place. the screws dont look very much like proper screws to me not a lot of grooves on them. i have tried screwing them in and hammering them in now

i am nearly in tears its taken me allllll day with absolutly no progress and like i said the front of my cooker is in loads of bits on the floor 😥 😥

Sounds like the threads are damaged. Were the screws particularly difficult to undo in the first instance?

The screws are easy enough to replace from a hardware store, not sure about the fixings in the door itself if they’re the problem – may be a manufacturers part.

Do not be tempted to use the oven without the inner glass BTW, too much heat will escape to the outer panel

    Good luck,
