    I visited this dishwasher, the original fault was the broken door catch. I think it was secondary after numerous frustrations by the tenant slamming the door thus intentionally broke the power button.

    The power button does not appear to hold down (if you hold down, it works), I had a look on the parts list, it showed that a complete replacement is required. The tenant/landlord are not too keen to replace the board.

    Has anyone attempted to have the power button repaired by sending off to QER or EMW? My gut feeling that it is better to replace the board.

    I welcome your thoughts…

    i have bypassed the on/off switch by soldering a bridging wire in place, otherwise its a new pcb
