    I’ve tested mains fuse/supply etc and all seem OK. Removed front panel and tested on/off switch. It has four terminals numbered 1 – 4 with a white cable connected to terminals 2 & 4 and a red to terminal 3 and two x pink and one x red cables connected to termanal 1. When the switch is operated there is a circuit between terminals 2 & 4 (i.e the white cables) but nothing between terminals 1 & 3 (i.e the red/pink cables)
    I’ve located a spare on/off switch on line but just wanted reassurance that you think the on/off switch is faulty before I order it. Many thanks, Bill

    On/off switch is a common fail on the Beko made diplomat d/ws so your most likely on the right track
