Hygena AP2500 – Switch started to fail, now fan wont turn on

Basically, the switch to turn the fan on became increasingly difficult to make work. Now it doesn’t work at all and the fan won’t switch on. The lights still work perfectly fine.

However, taking a look at the extractor fan, I am a little confused as to how to get into the compartment to change that part. There seems no obvious way to get the part down without removing absolutely everything.
