    My washing machine has produced this fault. Turned on it emits a series of beeps with “waterproof fault” displayed.

    Anyone have any ideas what I can do about this? I’ve cleaned the front filter and emptied the machine but the fault remains

    It means the water protection feature has been activated…you probably have a leak inside the machine somewhere…maybe from the pump, or the internal part of the waste outlet pipe…


    Power off, if you intend investigating yourself

    Mostly caused by water from filter going back into base if flap door is not down below horizontal.
    Easy to reset without taking any covers off, bearing in mind that its a very heavy machine, you need to tip it up & backwards with front being lifted about a foot off the ground, this will allow any water to come out over lips at edge of base.
    Try appliance again a few times, if problem re-occurs then investigate for leaks from door seal, internal hoses etc..
