ModeratorCall in for tomorrow, no model number yet . Customer says it starts OK then after about three minutes two lights flash 11 times. She also mentioned that she thought it had flashed three times earlier but has now checked pump & filter which are clear.
Nextra codes in Error Codes thread only go to 10 and the iPad app mentions 11 as ‘dryer board/wiring’.
Anything specific I need to be looking for?
Jim.

The latest codes I published yesterday include 11 flashes Jim, but that is for the newer machines though. I’m guessing it’ll turn out to be a heater insulation prob as usual.

Thanks Martin, will suck it and see. 😉
No digital display , think she said start and delay lights flashing but not certain.

Weird one this. 😥
HNWL7146-310036208421665.
Meggered everything, all perfect, machine in good condition generally.
Set it to wash, it fills and after a couple of minutes stops with lights flashing 11 times.
Couldn’t get it to the position where the wash heater is switched on but to eliminate that I tried it with temp setting set to 0, on rinses, spin and drying cycle with exactly the same results, works for a couple of minutes then flashes 11 times. motor runs very smoothly during spin until it aborts.Visibly checked pcb and all wiring , all looks sound.
Error codes say ‘dryer board’ but there is only one pcb in this machine, not one for the dryer alone. :con:
Any thoughts?

Yes! It’s usually the connection to the front dryer NTC as the AMP tags break due to excessive vibration. The other, less likely, reason is that the ambient room temp is below +2c. It’s won ort’utha, as we Yorkshire folk say! 😀

Hmmmm, certainly not that cold, did pull and tug at every wire I could. Will double check those again.

Thanks Martin ( and Bob ) 😉
Sadly no go, went back today to double check. Wiring connections to front, dryer NTC rock solid, no sign of any problems with the cables at all, good continuity right down to the PCB. 😥
NTC itself also checks out.

Sure is a right teaser you have there then. 🙁
More especially that is waits a couple of minutes until after it has filled before showing an error. From that I guess that the pressure switch has to reach full level before the circuit that causes the error to show….most odd!
The error code 3 issue the customer reported has not raised its head again has it, though thinking about it would suggest the water heater down to earth but that’s OK…
Let me have another think…..I’ll get back on that. 😀

Don’t think it is a fill problem, it fills to correct level on wash or rinse then tumbles away merrily for a good couple of minutes before aborting, and it also does it on the spin cycle when drum is empty.:?

i would disconnect the wash heater and try it again as its a strange fault, and all the strange unrelated error i have had have been the wash heater.

Cracked the bugger. 😆
Went back this afternoon, tried with wires off heater without success.
Just before I threw the towel in I thought I would have another look at the dryer ntc and wiring. Once again I got continuity from the ntc connectors down to the pcb, this time I asked the customer to bounce the drum up and down whilst I held the probes in the connecters, blow me, one of them broke down for a split second before making again.
Worked my way along the harness and found a break underneath the old style, black fabric insulation tape, where the harness is fixed to the top of the condensor at the back. 8)
