    Hello all,

    I have a “tE” error on a LG WD-1253FHB ….
I think it is a thermistor error, but I do not where the thermistor is located on this model? Is it part of the heating element, in the lower half of the tub?
Also does anyone know if these thermistors are still available please, 12 yo m/c! 😕

    Thanks in advance 🙂

TE error is Thermistor OR Heater by the way. Heater more likely, check it out first.

Yes what Martin says is correct……BUT before anyone goes rushing off spending their dosh on an element or thermistor I`ve just been to one of these LG`S this afternoon- not this model though -02/05/2013 and in the wiring loom everyone of the 5 wires to do with the element/thermistor were broken- rear fitted parts. Difficult to see because they are under tape but where the loom has been anchored by pulled ties to the rear of the chassis. Couldn`t believe it, 4 year old machine approx. Tip: repair/join wires by soldering them then side over heat shrink then finally tape and mark with perm marker pen area of repair for future ref. Reroute loom to allow it to move- the tanks on these machines via the the floppy suspension move a lot so do not be tempted to refit loom as per original as back to a problem X years time. Typical South Korean design- looms look nice but impractical!
