Bosch gaskets interchangeable ?

    I have used a few Bosch door gaskets recently,the ones with the tube from dispenser,
    The part numbers are 686004 680405 and 687764.
    I would like to stock one on the van, Are they interchangeable or is their a common one.
    Also the prices are from £17 to £32.
    Any advice on which one to stock.

    DBT89 & DBT92 (Very good Qualtex door boots) are the ones you need to have on the van to cover both common types.

    your behind the times there Martin, PMP is talking about large door models and yes there is a heap of diferent part numbers that all appear the same, must be a difference there somewhere so I wouldnt take the chance with the wrong one. These boxes are huge though and take up a lot of van space!

    Oh them….yeah….it’ll be a while before the pattern boys get hold of those and clone them…..at least 2 yrs I’m willing to bet. 🙁

    By the way, those front clamp rings are a bugger of a job getting back on, the spring
    is so ruddy strong even after 3 Shredded Wheat for breakfast! :shocked:

    Yes Martin, I have fitted quite a few of these recently, I think a email to qualtex to ask them to hurry up with a patten part is in order.
    And why do they provide those two retaining rings when the old ones are identical and re-usable?

    I thought the supplied ones are slightly easier to fit, maybe there is a marginal difference in size or spring rate or something.

    no bands showing in the pic……. the inner band is originaly a spring one while the one that comes with the gen seal is a screw type, might indicate a struggle without one.
