ParticipantHi all,
Now I know this is failure to drain but it does. Even after aborting there is no water left in it and when I test it it drains properly. There is no blockage or restrictions so has anyone any suggestions?
Thanks,
Rob
PS. pump is very strong so not thatFebruary 6, 2013 at 9:56 am #389565aqualectric

Had one of these with reoccurring E25 – drained every time I tried it!! So I thought; can’t be pump. Then removed pump and rotor jams if pulled slightly forwards…….
Keeping them stocked now and have fitted a few with no call backs! 8)
All in all a crap machine TBH….. 😥HTH,
Steve.

ReallyWith this new generation of dishwasher Siemens/Bosch have created their very worst example of a dishwasher ever! From a flimsy excuse of a drain pump, a combined heater pump unit, far worse than anything Indesit could possibly devise, with a life expectancy of a Mayfly. The sophisticated electronic control board placed for maximum vulnerability at ground level at the back and connected to a ruddy kettle plug. Service access is a joke, and with the built in version, the door/spring fitting copied from a 1950’s Meccano set.
So I think the adjective ‘crap’ sums them up nicely.

I think martins adjective is quite accurate.
on another tangent, just a quickie – trying to find info on a sbv50e10, which I suspect has the same technical issues this f/s version has. it just wont play ball – it will work sometimes and take water in but generally not other times, and I cant work out why. initially assumed it was the installation and hoses were getting kinked but its since failed to operate properly whilst outside the carcass too. Sent module to emw to take a look but they couldn’t spot any potential issues, but don’t have a test rig available yet set up for the new format bsh d/w’s. Did wonder if its possible that a component on the pcb may be overheating, and would the smv50 serv manual have sufficient reference to my custs machine?

i did occur to me but then the machines barely 3 years old. its now also a tiny card built into the heat exchanger, so if its the impellor part rather than the pcb part failing its a very expensive repair! Did find a bit of gunk in the H/E which has been clearerd, and it worked like 3 times over before we re-installed it and bam, would it start up once back in? nah ah. Bloody load of crud – id liek to challenge DrDill to remove the bayonet fit pump on this SBV which you have to drop the base off, which is nigh on impossible. CRAP. /rantover
