ParticipantGot a call out from this lovely lady who says the other engineer quoted the job and agreed to order the parts but never came back and not heard for three weeks. I seem to be getting “referrals” default by this other company failing to return to repair a lot recently. I could name and shame this firm but no, so I was asked if I could step in and put her machine right.
Her machine seems rather old and there’s not much part listed on Connect however, I happen to have a spare heater unit goes by the code from connect
5031681373485. Would this heater fit this particular model?He also told her that it requires a new cpu. I never used this term to my customer, I simply say board failure. In the past I have sent one off for repair and it costed me £50. The new board listed on Connect seems reasonable.

Give us the correct model number as the Siemens site doesn’t list it!

It is the correct model number. There is another number which she gave me and I am not sure what it is – 594519.
Did some googling – a lot of the main parts suppliers don’t list it but on ebay like this…
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-Siemens … 0735008156
They list it and it looks very much the same as what I have in the van.February 6, 2013 at 9:50 pm #389638Martin

OK I have found it now on the BSH trade site.
Heater = 266196
PCB = 268266February 7, 2013 at 8:34 am #389639eastlmark

heater is 652216 (5031681373485 at connect) but would be suspicious of both being faulty, if the pcb has gone on the heater relay then the heater is probably ok, and vica versa if the heater is gone.

Turns out it was the dispenser solenoid that blew the board out. Replaced dispenser and board. The multiplying seems to fit in a different place on the new board compared with the old one.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this dishwasher and see if I plugged it in correctly? Starting from the left, three plugs fits in the same place with ease, the power plug fits well, then the last two seems to be swapped places.
The long one ended up as the last plug on the new board but on the old one it was the short plug. I have photos to prove, will try upload it later.

Did wiring instructions not come with the new board to indicate the position shift? I guess not, therefore as long as each slotted connector block fits with ease in the way your photo illustrates then it must be OK to fire up!

It fits with ease. No instructions came with the package. Wonder if this is a modified board?
I have emailed QER for advice. I guess like Martin said if it fits then should be ok to fire up the dw.

QER was a bit clueless on the subject despite me sending four threads email. If he scrolled down the email, he would remember what we were discussing about.
Anyway, i had an old Bosch dw of same age and compared the plugs, etc. looks very much the same. I visited the house and plugged in the Siemens. It appears to be working well.
I think I will keep the old working board in case if I need it for other jobs. It’s the same board for a lot of the Bosch dw as I’ve checked against Connect. Has anyone kept the old working Bosch board in case they come across a board failure or would a new board be better?
