    Need help with this Hotpoint WMD740

    Called to a machine that would not pump and found very high resistance on pump so swapped it and machine now pumps

    Problem is that’s all it will do for about 2 minutes before stopping and just sitting there doing nothing

    Was advised that pressure switch needs reseting? to do this i drained off machine through front filter, filled machine with a jug then drained off by laying drain hose flat.

    Still no joy?

    Any ideas please

    if its fitted with a linear pressure switch it switches the pump of when empty

    Yes its fitted with a linear pressure switch

    Is there a way to get machine to recognise that the fault,

    ie. o/c pump has now been rectified?

    sounds like its done the board apart from unplugging for 2min or re-prog board there isnt much more u can do
