hi the dryer works fine but leaks from the bottom of the rear duct.
when its switched on it pumps for about 15 seconds at a good strong rate then doesnt seem to pump again and when the water builds up it leaks from the rear duct.
pump is ok and there is no blockages it just doesnt seem to pump after the initial burst.
    any ideas welcome.

There must be a blockage there somewhere, most likely between the pump chamber and the main base cavity. Pumps also get pretty worn on these old dryers and the Impellor/rotor gets loose and noisy jamming occasionally. I use a Bosch syringe to flush out the condenser cavity and whole base area using warm water and a couple of towels on the floor as it’s a messy procedure as a rule!

thanks for the reply there are definately no blockages, and the pump pumps perfectly at the start but not again.

After the pump does its 15sec burst, what then happens if you trigger the float switch? It should fire up the pump once again, if not either the float micro is faulty or the main PCB I should think?

hi the float switch doesnt switch the pump back on and i checked the microswitch. so it looks like its going to be the pcb.
