    Hi,

Have a Belling 787SS single fan oven, partly heating to about 50-70 deg max very slowly over a long period (30-60mins) rather than preheating to 200deg in 10mins.

    Red ‘heating’ light on.

Would you suspect element, even if partly heating…?

Cooker is rated at 3.4kW, yet recommended spare part replacement for element is only 2.2kW – this leads me to suspect two elements i.e. second one at fan – is this correct??? I haven’t opened to inspect yet!!

What is the approx correct value for main element resistance (20-30ohm?)

    Many thanks 🙂

    Hi

There are 2 elements 1 for fan oven and 1 for grill, so total is correct. Is the fan inside running when set to oven cook.
If fan not running oven will not get to temperature.

    Hi Washman,

    Many thanks for quick reply!

Yes, fan runs when oven set to cook.

Oven heating – with or without fan – grill warms up, but oven doesn’t reach temp.

So looking more like main element – presuming this is replaced from rear panel removal rather than below?
