ParticipantMy baumatic bd1631 is starting up and running for a while before beeping and stopping, flashing the economy wash light. Manual tells me this light flashing means outlet hose may be crushed or kinked, but not sure how to check this, also not sure why this would suddenly happen. Have tried drying out water in bottom and in drain and salt reservoir when the cycle stops and looked under black panels underneath which is suggested as a fix but no water I can see to mop out here. Anything else I could try? Thanks.

Sound like your drain pump is blocked, this would give this error code as well i think, try taking the waste pipe out of your drainage pipe and put it in a bucket and start the machine and see if it drains water out.
just remember that the first think all dishwashers do is drain first then fill

Thanks for this, what do we do if it’s not draining?

ParticipantI have the same problem but cannot see where I am supposed to drain the waste pipe out of the drainage pipe as the pipe is fixed in place attached to other pipes. I attach photos could you possibly advise on which pipe I am supposed to be unplugging?

ParticipantThanks Dave that was super helpful. I found the ribbed hose by removing a side covering under the machine and sure enough after undoing it it drained the machine. Will try putting it on later, but am fairly sure that now the machine will not be waterlogged it will work fine. Felt like a bit of a plumber whilst I was doing it… work experience. Nice one Dave, thanks.

ParticipantOh no… Dave, that didn’t fix it at all. I tried twice now draining it via the ribbed grey hose and even though it “seems drained” as soon as I start the machine again, low and behold same bleeping noise and i notice that about a pint worth of water has built up in the bottom of the machine. Does that mean that its blocked somehow? Otherwise, can you recommend any other steps please… Thanks.

Moderatorprobably means the pump has been jammed
may be just a glass or crockery jamming itdont on this model but the few i have done are a bit of a pig to get at

ParticipantThis problem has just happened to my dishwasher so I fed a hosepipe to inside my dishwasher without moving it and removed the filter and forced cold water into the drain and the gunge that came out was scary but its now working.
