ParticipantHi,
Does anybody know if Bosch make a stacking kit to allow either the WTA4107G or the WTA3003 dyer to be stacked on top of the WFL2450 washing machine & if so I would be grateful for the part numbers & approximate price.
Also has anyone any comments as to the reliability of both these dryers i.e. are they both proper Bosch machines made in Germany? Many thanks
Clive
PS Thanks to Ken & Don for their advice so far off list

Hi rungidung
First the good news both of those tumble dryers are indeed German manufactured so the build and the performance quality will be good.
The bad news is that the WFL2450 washing machine is the only Bosch model that you cannot stack a tumble dryer on to, due to the under lid construction of the cabinet. Info from Bosch cust care. Lateral thinking required 😉 .

Don

Thanks Don,
I guess you can never win them all 🙂 I just need Ken or somebody else to give their opinions on the reliability/serviceability of the two machines.Cheers

Clive,
I reckon the best combination being the WFL2450 with the WTA3003 on top
Both good reliable machines and easy to maintain, and I believe also come with a good extended warranty 🙂

Hi rungidung,
The Bosch WTA 3003 tumble dryer is a Crosslee/Whirlpool badged machine. Not German manufacture but is still a reasonable machine

ParticipantIf you want German built, you would be better served checking out these ones:
WTL6508 Logixx
WTL6307 Exxcel
WTL6106 ClassixxRemember – you gets what you pays for!

Thanks to all that replied.
Sparkey, Don had said previously in a private e-mail that some of the cheaper machines were made by Crosslee but wasn’t sure about the WTA3003.
Penguin, The models you have suggested are all condensor ones I believe & I was advised that in general these are not as reliable as the vented models.
In the end I have gone for the WTA4107G which although it is a lower capacity than I ideally wanted, seems to have a few nicer features such as sensor drying etc. rather than just a manual timer.
Hopefully I have made the right choice & it will give me great service, but whether it is made in Germany or not I will have to wait & see 🙂Many thanks

Don,
On your advice I e-mailed Bosch Customer Care the question about stacking the dryers on top of the WFL2450 washer & have just received the following reply which is a bit strange. 😮Thank you for your recent enquiry.
The stacking kit for the WTA4107 is WTZ1250 and the for WTA3003 is WTZ1160. You can order these from Spare Parts Dept on 08705 543210 and they will advice on prices as well. The warranty on all our appliances is one year and if you register the product within 30 days then it will be two years from date of purchase.
I trust all is satisfactory.

Hi Clive
I have been back to lady I mailed yesterday who did in fact give me duff information 😳 . The WFL2450 was the only washing machine that you could not fit a height reduction kit to. Nothing to do with stacking .
Sorry to mislead you.Don

Don,
No problem. The reason I posted was in case someone in the future was looking to do the same thing.
I guess I will now be spending even more money assuming the price isn’t that stupid 🙂Cheers
