    hopefully someone can help. i have a gas double oven, cannon chichester everything works fine except for the top oven/grill.
    the knob used to be quite stiff to turn but now its loose and not lighting at all, there doesn’t seem to be a gas supply to it either. could this be something really silly that is easily fixed and not too expensive? thanks

    Sadly we are not able to advise on gas repairs, forum rules apply.

    Your gas cooker needs the specialist attention of a Gas Safe engineer. You could try our find an engineer search facility.

    I concur my colleagues advice but I wonder if it’s just the control knob that’s broken? Being as it was stiff for a while now loose seems to suggest that.

    i have taken the knob off to check it and there does seem to be tiny plastic shavings round the control base,with it being a different size than the others i cannot try another knob , i might find some pliers and see if i can turn it…. and i wouldn’t try to fix it myself….

    Check the pilot where gas comes out coz food stopped mine. W I just dont knowhow to clean it out. Any suggests
