ParticipantHi all i have a wixl163 that fills then pumps straight back out again, it lights the 4th light and flashes the door red lock light i think its extra rinse, if i understand the fault codes correctly this would be a motor triac fault. If this is the case can anybody tell me where the offending triac is and what value it is so can swap it out. cheers for any help you can offer jim

Motor triac faults aren’t quite as simple a cure as just finding and replacing the triac. Firstly it indicates that the motor is at fault and may need replacing. Secondly the faulty motor has blown the triac on the main circuit board and that too may need replacing. So, first things first, power unplugged and then take a real close look for surface damage on the main PCB noting carefully any wires you remove. Good luck!

I think the motor may be ok as I have been able to get it to run on a spin cycle the pcb looks ok apart from a little dirty can’t see any signs of burning. But not sure which of the triacs is the motor triac

cheers all jim

It does not exist, Indesit don’t even give engineers that info.
My bet though it would be the one bolted to the heat sink, but F01 is a very generic fault. It could be any part of the motor circuit on the board and wiring.
Not being funny but if you don’t know how to find it your not going to have much success on repairing it.

In your ‘other thread’ on the same subject you told us that the motor did spin. If that is the case that clearly indicates the motor triac on the PCB works so there is little to no purpose in seeking it out!
